I’m Nicola Slavin, a freelance (creative/senior) copywriter (or maybe just freelance writer) and digital (or editorial, or content) marketer.
Do you see how I’ve got all kinds of writerly job titles in here? That’s partly because my SEO colleagues’ suggestions have lodged firmly in my brain, but mostly because I have worked with words in so many ways, it’s difficult to know what to lead with. I’ve written ebooks and audiobooks and created marketing copy for digitally produced books. I’ve produced Annual Reports, email newsletters and website pages. I’ve written long-form features, short-form social copy and somewhere-in-the-middle blog posts. And I’ve worked for clients including IFAW, Pottermore, RADA, tonies®, Warner Bros and Wonderbly.
The reason I lay claim to such a multitude of job titles is because I tend to work in one of three ways:
I’ve worked with and for publishing brands, entertainment properties, charities, small businesses and more. For writing samples, see my portfolio.
I typically work on a day rate basis, based on a set amount of days per week. The time can be fixed, or spread across a week. I am happy to work in London or Herts-based offices up to two days per week. Otherwise, I work remotely.
Please get in touch for my rates and availability.

Diligence personified, delivers time and again.
